Everyone can appreciate some good comfort food every now and then. Most of us are away from home here at UIS and we don’t get a chance to have that comfort food like mom’s chicken soup or homemade macaroni and cheese very often. However, that is not the case anymore. A new restaurant has opened that not only offers classic American cuisine, but also offers Asian and cuisine. You can find all of these types of food at Noodles & Company, which opened in Springfield in July.

Noodles & Company offers things like Wisconsin Mac & Cheese, Chicken Noodle Soup, and Mushroom Stroganoff. More exotic dishes you can get are things like Pad Thai, Pot stickers, Penne Rosa, and Pesto Cavatappi. You can also customize what you want by adding grilled chicken, parmesan crusted chicken, or even tofu to your meals.

One of the best parts of Noodles & Company, besides the quality of the food, is the pricing. It’s very reasonably priced compared to the amount of food you get. For a college student, that can make or break where you eat your dinner. This is definitely a place any college student can eat without breaking the bank. You can choose if you want a small or regular size dish, you can add soup or salad to your small pasta to try a combination of things, or you can even have desserts. With the variety of dishes offered, there is something for everyone at Noodles & Company. My personal favorite is the Wisconsin Mac & Cheese with the Parmesan crusted chicken added to it. Yet, I have liked everything I have tried.

If you want to check it out for yourself, you can find Noodles & Company at 2575, Wabash Ave., right outside the White Oaks Mall. I highly recommend you do.

Hours are from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
