UIS Brookens Library has new and enhanced web tools to aid research. This session will provied an overview of RefWorks, Google Scholar, and MegaSearch.

UIS Brookens Library has new and enhanced web tools to aid research. This session will provide an overview of RefWorks, Google Scholar, and MegaSearch. RefWorks is a bibliographic citation tool that enables the user to customize output in over 500 citation styles. RefWorks enables easy production of in text citations and reference lists while interfacing with your word processing program. Google Scholar is a product of the combined efforts of Google and WorldCat, enabling users to search the web for scholarly material and locate that material in a library near you. Google Scholar also allows setting up local links to UIS full text sources. MegaSearch is a cross platform search engine for a wide variety of article indexes and full text sources. We seek feed back especially to improve the new MegaSearch service.
