The Systems Support team of Information Technology
Services operates and supports the campus wide network. That includes
the gigabyte ethernet backbone, routers, switches and the campus wide
wireless network. It hosts the campus email, web, application servers
and supports department servers. It provides wide-ranging network services
(server support, Domain Name Services, IP address assignment, network
printing, etc.). It also operates the campus link to the Internet, plans
the deployment of major software applications, coordinates network security,
and manages network bandwidth. Systems Support also is responsible for
the telephone system, voice over IP, integrated voicemail and the Cable
TV system.
