International Student Festival

The annual international celebration, popularly known as "International Student Festival" brings students and the community together to learn about and celebrate multi-culturalism, diversity, and international connectedness. Each year a theme is selected. Some of the themes of previous years were

29th Int'l student festival-2007

UIS hosted its 29th annual International Festival, "Global Face Book," from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, January 28, 2007. The festival featured cultural performances and a cultural bazaar with exhibits and food booths.

Countries that were represented included Argentina, France, Germany, India, Japan, the Philippines, and Poland.

Entertainment featured a variety of group dances, solo performances, and skits by students from Asia and Latin America, as well as an all-festival fashion show. The food booths offered ethnic dishes from Japan, India, Poland, Argentina, and a number of other countries.
