UIS offers a number of international study options.

Short Term Study Abroad Programs:

• Japanese Language and Culture in Ashikaga, Japan - June 2010
• Global Media and Culture in China - Summer 2010
• Internships in Romania - Summer 2010
• Management in Central Europe - Poland - Summer 2010
• Botany in Mexico - Summer 2010
• Public Health Program on National Drug Policy in The Netherlands - Summer 2010
• Spanish Language and Culture in Peru - Summer 2010

Applications Deadlines for UIS Global Experience Programs for the summer of 2010:

• Language and Culture of Japan March 30th
• Global Media and Culture in China March 15th
• Management in Central Europe - Poland March 15th
• Internships in Romania March 15th
• Spanish Language and Culture in Peru March 15th
• Public Health Program on National Drug Policy in The Netherlands March 15th
• Botany in Mexico March 15th

Payment of one half of the program fee for each of these programs is due by the application deadline.

Exchange Programs:

UIS has reciprocal exchange agreements for semester or year long study with the following schools:

• Charles Darwin University in Darwin, Australia
• Murdoch University in Perth, Australia
• Saitama University at Saitama, Japan
• University of Colima in Colima, Mexico
• The University of Hull, England
• Heilongjiang University, China

UIS has also entered into a limited exchange program with Queen's University in Belfast, Northern Ireland for summer study.

Students selected to participate in reciprocal exchange programs pay tuition and fees to UIS. All other expenses, housing, board, etc. are paid to the host institution.

Application Deadlines for exchange programs are:
Spring programs - September 15th
Fall programs - February 15th
Queen's U. summer program - April 1st

UIS is a member of UMAP, University Mobility in Asia and Pacific, through which each of our exchange programs has been established.

UIS also has affiliation agreements with the following schools:

• The Ashikaga Institute of Technology, Japan
• Veritas Institute, Romania
