It’s not too big and it’s not too small and there is a lot of community. I was looking for a close-knitatmosphere with big college perks, and we have that here.
Activities on campus:
I’m involved in the Housing Residence Council, we put on different events for students who live on campus—we have the Monster Bash every year for Halloween and we have other random activities. I’m also in Bluebook, our campus yearbook, and I’m a Student Ambassador, a Peer Mentor, a Tutor, and I do intramural volleyball.
Random memories of campus life:
I’ve played football in the middle of the fountain and I’ve had a great time with Springfest. I think my favorite is that my Springfest team this year, Top Gun, put on a really funny dance based on the song “You’ve Lost that Lovin’ Feeling” from the movie. You can see it here.
Where I see myself in 10 years:
Teaching high school English or possibly college English. I’m a pretty well rounded person, so I hope to keep up with piano and sports.
Advice for prospective students:
Stay on top of your homework. Keep organized and never let yourself get off task. Keep in touch with your professors to find out how you’re doing; because that’s why you’re here. You’re here for academics.
