Mandy Altman

Mandy Altman began at the Illinois Innocence Project as our Graduate Assistant, in August of 2012. In the Summer of 2013, Mandy completed her Master’s of Public Administration Program and obtained her certificate in Nonprofit Management. Since graduating, Mandy has continued full-time at the Innocence Project as extra help, assisting with a variety of projects as needed.

Mandy brings to us a diverse background, having traveled and worked in a number of countries around the world. She has tought leadership and team building to university students in the Republic of Georgia, and the summer completed a 6-week internship working on a poverty alleviation program with the Ministry of Health and Social work in the West African country of The Gambia. Previously, Mandy had also spent over a year living and studying in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Mandy is very interested in issues regarding social justice and is enjoying working and learning more about the criminal justice system. You can contact Mandy at
