Blackboard

Blackboard is a web-based course management learning system that instructors can use to organize course content. Instructors can manage the content to provide students with supplemental materials in a blended course format or full-course activities such as blogs, journals, and assignments for an online class.There are many tools such as the discussion boards, virtual chat and classroom, self and peer assessment which allow for increased communication and collaboration.

  • A quicksheet for faculty is available with helpful tips and tricks.
  • We recommend using Blackboard in a browser on a computer to modify or enter grades in the Grade Center.
  • We recommend using Blackboard in a browser on a computer to perform course management tasks, such as creating content, adding assignments, grading assignments, etc.
  • While some mobile devices (but not all) support uploading and attaching documents and images to the Discussion Board, this functionality is limited and varies by device.
  • Flash is not supported on iOS devices, so students with these devices will not be able to view Flash content.
