UIS Faculty and Staff Websites
All employees have web space provide to them through the www folder in eDocs. An employee’s NetID is used for the URL [web address] for that individual’s web site.
[e.g. Harold Tarragon’s netid is htarr1 so his web address is http://edocs.uis.edu/htarr1/www/].
Please review the UIS Campus Web Policy for information pertaining to procedures and guidelines for web publishing.
NOTE: In accordance with the Campus Web Policy (http://www.uis.edu/webpolicy), all official department Web site files must reside on the official UIS Web server. These files may not reside in personal Web accounts, eDocs accounts, or on off-campus servers.
NOTE FOR FACULTY:
For those instructors whose students will need to have a student website to fulfill their class requirements, please submit your class roster to email@example.com or contact your students and have them submit a request via one of the methods above.
The address of a student’s site is the student’s NetID.
Updating Faculty and Staff Web Sites
The ITS Instructional Support and Training team has put together a website template for faculty. The content areas for the template are — About You, Courses Taught, Curriculum Vitae, Research, Presentations, and Links. This template’s content areas can be changed to work for any UIS employee.
