[Kirk Bloodsworth’s Story]

On April 30 the Illinois Innocence Project celebrated 15 years of working for the wrongfully convicted. Enjoying the evening were students, staff, volunteers, and supporters both present and past. Guest speaker was Kirk Bloodsworth sharing his amazing story as the first person freed from death row through DNA evidence. Kirk concluded the evening sharing the stage with the introduction of nearly twenty exonerees in attendance from Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. Meet them here.
