John
Snyder is an online degree program coordinator for UIS, working
with both the online math (B.A.) and online Human
Services (M.A.) programs.
He has a B.A. in History from Sangamon State University, with a minor in secondary education, and did graduate work in education and economics, and earned the Master Online Teacher certificate from the U of I.
Prior to coming to UIS, he taught in public schools in Illinois and in several colleges and schools overseas, and was also a banker for 5 years. His external interests involve learning about almost anything new or creative, including Chinese tea, carpentry, computer applications, bible study, and art.
He has lived here in Springfield most of his life, with the exception of eight years in Taiwan. He lives with his wife, three kids, a dog, a cat, a guinea pig, and a whole bunch of tropical fish.
