HR Ambassador program
The goal of the HR Ambassador Program is to provide excellent customer service to all UIS employees through accessible, mobile HR consulting and training services. The program offers counseling and advising on HR policies and procedures for faculty and staff on both a scheduled and an as-needed basis.
HR Outreach
The first of two program components is HR Outreach: a variety of general HR-related training sessions and regularly scheduled HR Application open labs. Assistance with the following areas will be provided during open lab sessions:
- Benefits
- Employment and testing
- Labor relations
- Navigating HR applications

HR On-Demand
The second component, HR On-Demand, will provide units and/or supervisors with specific situational training to address current issues, such as:
- Recruitment
- Writing job descriptions
- Disciplinary concerns
- Work schedules
- Contractual issues
- Reorganization.
