Faculty Positions

TITLE:  Assistant Professor, Human Services;  Child and Family Studies Concentration

STARTING DATE:  August 16, 2012

DESCRIPTION:  The candidate for this tenure-track position must have an earned doctorate in a human services related field from an accredited institution. Direct practice experience providing services to individuals (including children), couples, and families is required, and professional certification is desired. Applicants must be prepared to teach the following masters level courses in online and blended formats: Advanced Interviewing & Intervention, Child Abuse and Neglect, Family Dynamics and Intervention, and Treating Children from Diverse Populations. The successful candidate also will be expected to teach one core course per semester. Blended/online university teaching experience is desirable. Ability to work with diverse cultures is expected. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work in a collaborative and collegial manner in a student centered environment. 

CAMPUS: Located in the state capital, the University of Illinois Springfield is one of three campuses of the University of Illinois. The UIS campus serves approximately 5,000 students in 23 undergraduate and 21 graduate degree programs.
