TITLE: Visiting Assistant Professor, Educational Leadership

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Department of Educational Leadership at the University of Illinois Springfield is seeking outstanding candidates for a Visiting Assistant Professor position with an earned doctorate from an accredited university in an education-related field (Ed.D. or Ph.D.) such as educational leadership, education technology, and/or teacher leadership. Preference will be given to candidates with the following: university teaching experience, online teaching and course development, educational technology or English as a Second Language (ESL) application and development, and experience in the education leadership field with Illinois administrative certification. The primary teaching assignments may include some combination of the following courses: Foundation of Teacher Leadership (online), Teacher Leadership (online), Instructional Design/Curriculum; Supervision of Instruction, Organizational Leadership, Technology, English as a Second Language, Internship, and Capstone course. The university emphasizes excellence in teaching, but faculty are also expected to provide a balance of service and scholarship activities. The general teaching load is three courses per semester. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
