2007 Self-Study REPORT

The self-study process for UIS comes on the heels of the university's most recent strategic planning initiative.  Energized by a new mission statement and committed to a self-study process that documents and analyzes a profile of the campus as it actualizes this mission, UIS has chosen to use it to frame the organization of this report.

Chapters 3, 4, 5, and 6 each address an element of UIS' new mission statement.  Each chapter addresses each of the four HLC cross-cutting themes:  Future-Oriented Organization; Learning-Focused Organization; Connected Organization; and Distinctive Organization. The Distinctive Organization section of each chapter includes a discussion and analysis of the identified institutional strengths and areas of concern.
