The Campus Health Service provides treatment to all students, both full and part-time students whether or not they have student insurance. Employees may be seen though students receive priority during busy times. Employees can make appointments for minor acute illnesses and injuries that interfere with the working day if appointments are available. Prior to making appointment, employees should make certain that their health insurance will cover any cost related to the visit such as prescriptions or tests that might be ordered. Students pay a mandatory fee for the use of the Campus Health Service and minimal user fees are charged for some services. Employees may be charged user fees on a sliding scale in comparison to student rates. Patients are informed about these fees before the service is rendered. Nurse or physician visits and many other services are provided without charge.
Services provided include treatment for minor illnesses such as colds, allergies, infections, examinations such as pap smears, pelvic exams, and minor injuries.
