WORK FORCE DEVELOPMENT ONLINE
"Back to School...Anytime, Anywhere"
The University of Illinois at Springfield is pleased to offer workforce development professionals, guidance counselors and other educators the opportunity to learn…anytime, anywhere.
Workforce Development Online offers flexibility and convenience – an easily accessible “virtual classroom” that enables you to earn undergraduate and graduate level credit via the Internet. The workforce development online classroom is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week!
Since 1996, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Community Affairs and the University of Illinois at Springfield, Center for Legal Studies have designed, developed and delivered the Career Specialist Studies and Employment Specialist Studies course sequences. These programs are designed to address the ongoing educational needs of workforce development professionals and to provide an opportunity for them to pursue an interdisciplinary course of study.
Both programs continue to receive national attention because of their unique, customized design tailored for workforce development professionals, guidance counselors, and others who provide labor market information, career search information, workforce preparation training, and placement assistance to their clients and/or students.
Students who successfully complete one or both of these course sequences receive a Certificate of Completion from the University of Illinois at Springfield – an institution that has a strong tradition of providing excellence in teaching.
