The Pre-award Grants and Contracts Office is responsible for negotiaitng all contracts resulting from the submission of a proposal to an outside funder.
Contracts must be written in the name of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, with signature lines for the Comptroller and the Secretary of the Board. Only these individuals, or their designees, can sign contracts on behalf of the University.A Contract Approval form must be circulated with each contract. The signatures on this form document that the Project Director, Unit Head, and Central Campus Administration agree to the contract's terms and conditions, the project's statement of work, and the project budget.
