Sarah Collins, an English graduate student and Clinical Writing Instructor in the UIS Center for Teaching and Learning, has won the University of Illinois Springfield’s Outstanding Master’s Thesis award for the 2011-2012 academic year. Rich Saal, a recent graduate from the UIS graduate history department, was featured in an April 22, 2012 article in the State Journal-Register. Rich works as a photo editor for the SJ-R and organized an exhibit entitled “Springfield Photographs: Images from The Illinois State Journal Glass Plates 1929-35″.
