The GIS Laboratory at UIS emphasizes active, problem-based teaching and learning. The GIS Lab offers students a variety of opportunties to engage in research projects.
The GIS classroom is equipped with instructional technologies and fully equipped computers. The GIS Laboratory hosts data servers, large size printers, and large size scanners. Students will gain the theoretical basics of geographic information sciences. More importantly, students will gain hands-on experience with GIS applications in a wide range of fields.
