Job Description: Help the Director to provide ongoing programming designed to meet the social, cultural, academic and physical well-being of students; and collaborate with student organizations to co-sponsor events. Research events and cultural topics at other institutions and organizations. Disseminate information to the appropriate individuals. Assist in the data entry of surveys and evaluations of workshops/seminars. Serve as an aide to the graduate assistant and assist in the day-to-day operations.
Qualifications: High level of interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and ability to work with various university populations. Reports to the Coordinator of the Minority Services Center.
HIV/Aids Education/Prevention Outreach Worker
Job Description: Provides HIV/Aids information to targeted population ages 18-30, with special emphasis on people of color. Attends, provides information table at conferences and special events related to HIV/Aids i.e. National Hispanic AIDS Awareness Day, World AIDS Day, Black History Month, Cinco De Mayo, National Testing Day, etc. Collects data regarding information distributed, numbers contacted, ages. Monthly reporting activities.
Qualifications: Prior experience with HIV/AIDS outreach. Experience dealing with a diverse population. Basic computer skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft word, excel. Other duties as assigned. Must have at least two years of college.
