Chancellor Ringeisen, Provost Cheney, and the UIS community welcome 16 new faculty membersDuring the annual fall faculty-staff convocation on Tuesday, August 17, 2004, Chancellor Ringeisen delivered his state of the university address. Provost Cheney, college deans, and division heads introduced new faculty and staff. The chancellor and provost greeted students on the following evening. Sixteen new faculty members have joined the University of Illinois at Springfield for the 2004 fall semester. Nine will teach in programs within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, which also has a new dean. One will teach in the College of Public Affairs and Administration, two in the College of Business and Management, and three in the College of Education and Human Services.
