Jane
Treadwell has degrees from Furman
University and Florida State University. Prior to coming to UIS, she
was at Emory University for thirteen years, first as director of Collections
and Technical Services and more recently as Director of Program Assessment
and coordination.
She
has also worked at the University of Florida and Texas A&M University.
She was a Senior Fellow at the UCLA Graduate School of Library and
Information Studies in 1999. She has published and given presentations
in the areas of collection development, organizational change and
development, and library space planning.
Jane
served on the OCLC Users Council from 1995-2000 and is currently
a member of the board of the Association of Library Collections
and Technical Services.
