Paul
McDevitt, Interim Dean of the College
of Business and
Management welcomes these new faculty members:
Leo
Bin is joining the faculty of the College of Business
and Management as an assistant professor in the Business
Administration program's finance area. He came to
the U.S. from China in 1993. He completed graduate
work at the University of Mississippi in 2000, and
then spent a year teaching undergraduate and graduate
finance as a visiting assistant professor. He also
has experience teaching online.

Xiaoqing
Li, lecturer in Management Information Systems,
joined the College of Business and Management in February.
Originally from China, Li has nearly completed his Ph.D.
in Information Systems from McMaster University in Canada.
His research interests are in the role of intelligence
agents in knowledge management and e-commerce. Interests
outside the classroom include swimming and fishing.

Sangeeta
Parameshwar is a new assistant professor of Management
and, having delivered the management competency course
in Case Western University's flagship MBA program, will
be involved in MBA programs within the College of Business
and Management as well. She recently completed her Ph.D.
in Organizational Behavior at Case Western. Her dissertation
and research interests are in the area of leadership.

Ron
Spahr, professor of Business Administration in the
College of Business and Management, is UIS first
National City Distinguished Professor of Banking and
Finance. He has enjoyed a prolific career as a writer,
teacher, and consultant in the field of finance. His
formal investiture took place Thursday, September 20,
2001.

David
Larson, visiting assistant professor in Management
Information Systems, taught for 14 years for both the
Computer Science and MIS programs. Retired after 32
years of information systems work with the state, he
has returned to teaching full time in the College of
Business and Management. Larson earned his MBA at UIS
and is completing his doctoral dissertation in curriculum
and instruction at Illinois State University.
