Biography: Julie Perino earned her M.A. in English, specializing in creative writing, from the University of Illinois, Springfield. She is a full time Instructor of Composition who also holds a B.A. in English and Spanish from Grinnell College. She has been a production assistant for WUIS public radio station. She joined the UIS faculty in 2011. Her primary areas of study are Fiction and Non-Fiction Creative Writing, and Composition and Rhetoric. She has also studied extensively in the fields of Medieval Writing, Film, Linguistics, and Genre studies.
