Selected Publications:

Lan Dong is the author of two books: Mulan’s Legacy and Legend in China and the United States (2011), Reading Amy Tan (2009), and a number of book chapters and journal articles on Asian American literature and film, children’s literature, and comparative literature. She is the editor of two books: Transnationalism and the Asian American Heroine: Essays on Literature, Film, Myth and Media (2010) and Teaching Comics and Graphic Narratives: Essays on Theory, Strategy and Practice (2012). She is a senior editor for the Red Feather Journal: An International Journal of Children’s Visual Culture.
