The 40 semester hours of required graduate courses and clinical experiences needed to earn the Type 75 Principalship certification are embedded in the Master of Educational Leadership degree.
The Principalship certification is mandatory for teachers and other educators interested in moving into administrative positions in Illinois public schools.
The Triad cohort - enrolling for Fall 2008 - offers convenience for educators in the Metro East area of Illinois and surrounding counties. The Type 75 Principalship certification program is a UIS Blended Curriculum. That means that 50 percent of the program will be offered online. All on-ground classes will meet in the evenings at the Triad School District Office in Troy.
