Post-Master’s Certificate leading to the Superintendent and/or Chief School Business Official endorsement
Students must apply to UIS and complete department requirements to be admitted to the cohort program. Applicants must hold a valid Principal endorsement administrative certificate to apply.
The Superintendent program is offered every two years, in a weekend cohort model during the fall and spring semesters. The summer term includes two courses, over the course of two weekends in June and three weeks in July (Monday through Thursday).
Department admissions requirements include: a letter of interest, three letters of reference, one writing sample, a professional resume, complete department application, responses to essay questions, and a copy of your ISBE endorsements. The department requirements must be submitted and evaluated before an admissions decision can be made.
