Scott Day studies school reorganization in Illinois
Associate professor and chair of the Department of Educational Leadership Scott Day studies local K-12 school districts in Illinois that have recently reorganized. He’s particularly interested in the financial strain school districts are currently under and whether that could cause more districts to reorganize. Day has completed more than 18 feasibility studies for districts around the state. He works in conjunction with EDL assistant professors Leonard Bogle and William Phillips.
The Superintendent’s Endorsement Cohort such as the one currently offered on campus, offers a carefully planned set of experiences designed to develop the knowledge, skills, dispositions, and competencies needed by educational leaders at local and state levels. 36 credit hours of graduate courses lead to a Post-Master’s Certificate/Superintendent’s Endorsement/Chief School Business Official.
