Classroom Accommodations

Reasonable accommodations are available for students who have a documented disability. Please notify the instructor during the first week of class of any accommodations needed for the course. Developed by the Great Lakes ADA and Accessible IT Center - Disability Services in Higher Education Resources

Accommodations - are alterations to the environment or in the way information is presented so it is accessible, or available in an effective manner, for people with disabilities.

Disabilities - According to the Americans with Disabilities Act, disability (in part) is defined as a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities of an individual.
Note:  When searching this site, it is important to remember that some people with disabilities have dual diagnoses. Also keep in mind that the accommodations listed are not all-inclusive. Accommodations need to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, in the Office of Disability Services, evaluating the person's ability and previous accommodation history.
