Three Sources of information
Now that you've decided to make a gift, you probably have some questions. We offer three sources of information on giving to UIS:
1. Gift Officers--Your Personal Contact
Our first--and BEST--suggestion is that you call our office so you can talk with a gift officer. They are here to help.
Our gift officers can
- answer your questions
- lead you through the process of choosing the kind of gift that suits you best
- assist you to receive every tax advantage that you deserve.
The link at left will introduce you to our gift officers. We'll help you connect with the officer who knows the most about the programs that interest you.

2. Online--Where You Can Do Some Research On Your Own
Our UIS Office of Development Website offers a great deal of information specific to UIS, especially regarding Giving Opportunities, stories of our donors, alumni, and students, and the names of the funds to which you can give.
When it comes to Gift Planning, however--next to our own Gift Officers who are willing and able to respond to any question you might have--the University of Illinois Foundation has excellent information--brief, well-written, and carefully crafted--on most issues related to planning a gift.
3. The University of Illinois Foundation--Working With Us to Create Excellence
The Foundation works with staff at the University of Illinois at 
Springfield to secure private gifts that help to create excellence in teaching, research, and public engagement.
The Foundation helps staff at UIS:
- Raise money
- Administer funds,
- Manage assets, and
- Much, much more.
Working with the Foundation provides stability, economy, excellent asset management, and many other benefits. But please remember--although you might write "University of Illinois Foundation" on the check or give online on the Foundation's website, your gifts still go to support UIS.
