Bringing "Reading" to the Visually Impaired

Did you know that WUIS helps bring books, magazines, and local newspapers to visually impaired people in central Illinois?

No, we don't deliver books in Braille. We offer special free radios to people so they can listen to all these reading materials read by volunteers. You can't hear these materials normally because the reading is sent out on a special sub frequency.

Imagine what a wonderful program this is for people who can't read otherwise.
