Part of our mission at UIS is to produce qualified and contributing graduates who are ready to make a positive difference in the world.

The professional staff at UIS' Career Development Center meet that need. They help students develop and implement a personalized career action plan, including:

  • Edward Maloney, Illinois State Senator, with Donovan Pepper, UIS graduate in political studies and now Manager, State and Local Relations for Walgreenschoosing a major,
  • exploring career options,
  • gaining experience,
  • preparing for a job search,
  • deciding about graduate school,
  • making a career transition, or
  • managing job related stress.

  • career fairs,
  • a Dress for Success Fashion Show,
  • the Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour, and
  • on-campus recruitment opportunities.
