Ermatinger (right), UIS has a marvelously varied college that includes degrees in the Humanities, Natural and Social Sciences, Mathematics and Computer Science, and the Visual and Performing Arts. - Number of Majors, 2009-2010: 1608 undergraduate students, 356 graduate students
- Funds That Target CLAS as a whole:
- Current Needs:
- Scholarships: Many departements within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences have few, if any, scholarships. We definitely need those.
- Faculty development grants: We also need faculty development grants which allow faculty to do research that keeps them current in their fields and which allow faculty to attend and present at professional conferences.
- Research support: Many students with CLAS do research, an endeavor that has many expenses associated with it. We need funds to support this important and effective educational pursuit.
- Fine Arts support: Theater, music, and art programs at UIS are growing rapidly, enriching the campus and Springfield communities. Please help us through your gifts to make these programs even better.
