Teacher education program
FAST FACTS ABOUT TEACHER EDUCATION
- Number of students in the program, 2009-2010
- Funds that Target Teacher Education:
- Current Needs:
- Scholarships (OUR GREATEST NEED), funds to help them afford their master's program, attend and present at conferences, and take advantage of other opportunities. We are so grateful to the donors above, but many more students need financial help as they prepare to be teachers. Please help. You can create a named current-use scholarship for $84 a month.
- Future Teacher Initiative to help students attend local, regional, and possibly even national conferences for teachers. Cost for registration to local conferences can start as low as $50, but that is more than most of our students can pay. For regional or national conferences, we would keep costs low by travelling together, but again, without your help, students cannot afford this wonderful opportunity to hear from teachers in the field. Please help.
- Faculty Development funds, which allow our faculty to keep up to date in their field, attend and present at professional conferences, and benefit from other learning opportunities
- Unrestricted Funds: These allow us to respond nimbly to unexpected opportunities or needs, making them a particularly powerful gift
