Scholarship Funds

The Business Administration Department has two targeted scholarship funds.

Corporate Alternatives, Inc. Scholarship Donate

Peter Brinckerhoff, an internationally renowned trainer, author, and consultant to not-for-profit organizations established the Corporate Alternatives, Inc. Scholarship to benefit current employees of not-for-profit organizations.  His books are used as texts at over 60 colleges and universities worldwide.  Since founding Corporate Alternatives, Inc. in 1982, Mr. Brinckerhoff has helped thousands of organizations become more mission-capable. The scholarship will match (up to $500.00 per semester) employer education contributions for graduate students in Business or Public Administration programs.

Joe Wilkins Scholarship Donate

Joseph Wilkins received a $200 scholarship as a high school junior and it changed his life forever. Though the amount was small, it became the impetus of a distinguished career that included military decoration, the rank of  captain in the U.S. Air Force, UIS emeritus professorship and an ongoing scholarship for students in the 21st century.

In addition to his aforementioned accomplishments, Dr. Wilkins was also involved in national and international business organizations and lectured at professional conferences all over the world including England, Germany, Sweden and France. The Joe Wilkins Scholarship was established in 2003and is awarded to graduate or undergraduate Business or Management majors in good academic standing. Preference given to Management majors of merit and financial need is taken into consideration with applicants of equal merit.

Other Options

Not interested in any of the funds above?  Then you can create your own named fund—either a current use scholarship or an endowed scholarship—that targets the students you specify in the Master’s of Business Administration Department.  Use the links above to learn more about these scholarship opportunities.

As the principle donor of this new scholarship, you would get to name the fund and establish the selection criteria.
