ARCHIVES AND SPECIAL COLLECTIONS
PRESERVING OUR TREASURES
Donate
UIS has a variety of archives and special collections:
- a collection from James Jones’ years at the Handy Writers Colony,
- an extensive oral history collection focused on the lives of people in central Illinois,
- a collection of antique stock certificates. Don Springer, at right with Dean Jane Treadwell, is holding a certificate he recently donated to the library (slide show above),
- papers of the Mother Jones Foundation,
- the letters children sent to professor emeritus Jacqueline Jackson for her Reading, Writing, and Radio show,
- all UIS student theses and countless UIS records
You can help us preserve these wonderful treasures and more like them. Please give today.
