A Definite NeedWhen the Auditorium opened in 1981, the stage floor was state of the art and more than adequate to handle a variety of shows and performances.
Today, that has changed—Life has happened on the stage, and it’s showing its age.
It’s time to bring the Auditorium stage into the 21st century. If resources permit, we’ll make the new floor a true sprung floor, making it suitable for acting, music, and dance.
You can help this to happen by either contacting our office or by giving to the Sangamon Auditorium Special Projects Fund; tell us your intention in the Comment Box. Donate
Like a grand lady, the Auditorium has other needs besides just a new stage:
With your generous support, we can rejuvenate the Auditorium, a Springfield treasure. In fact, this is a great opportunity to create a lasting heritage at UIS.
A Naming Opportunity By giving an endowed gift to the Auditorium, you could provide funds to meet all these needs, plus provide for the stage’s ongoing maintenance and equipping for years to come. In return, your name would be attached to the stage in perpetuity.
Please consider leaving this lasting legacy to UIS and the Springfield community.
