A Jewel for Springfield

UIS and WSEC are reviving a Springfield tradition:  The Ambassador Series. 

This series brings ambassadors from around the world to Springfield.  Each dignitary makes a lunch presentation and a spirited question-and-answer period follows.

Ambassadors come to Springfield for the opportunity of speaking with Springfield’s business and community leaders.  During their presentations, the ambassadors will share business, economic, and political insights. 

His Excellency Dennis Richardson, Australian Ambassador to the U.S.WSEC TV will film all programs for broadcast on its network and for other PBS stations.

    His Excellency Latchezar Petkov, Bulgaria's Ambassador to the U.S.His Excellency Michael Collins from Ireland, originally scheduled for this date, has had to change his plans. He will now be coming on February 3. Plans are underway for another ambassador to come--stay posted for this ambassador's name.

Cost will be prorated for future lunches.

You Can Help Influence Springfield's Future Leaders

A Special Opportunities Fund will allow students—high school or university—from the community to attend a series lunch.  The same Fund will also assist ambassadors from countries whose budgets cannot support their participation in the series.
