Human Services Program Fund Donate
These funds provide money for special opportunities or extraordinary needs.
These activities and others like them enrich our students immeasurably, enhancing the education they receive at UIS—but we could not do any of them without the discretionary money given to this fund.
Income from this endowed fund is used for scholarships (loans or grants) for students pursuing a master's degree in Human Services with preference to a student emphasizing or concentrating in Gerontology.
The Zonta Club is an international organization known largely for its humanitarian aid, but originally for its care of the aging. Cornelia S. Hodges was a longtime member and supporter. The Cornelia S. Hodges Zonta Scholarship is awarded to a graduate student who plans to work in the field of Gerontology. Eligible applicants will have a minimum GPA 3.5 with demonstrated financial need. Preference is given to female applicants. Scholarship is renewable for one additional year.
Gifts to this fund will provided targeted support to the Alcohol Abuse Program. Your gift could be used to send students to conferences, purchase software or other beneficial equipment, test materals, or resources, or could help to bring special speakers or events to UIS.
Not interested in any of the funds listed above? Then you can also create your own named scholarship fund—either a current use scholarship or an endowed scholarship—that targets the students you specify in the HUman Services Department or any one of the four concentrations. As the principle donor of this new scholarship, you would get to name the fund and establish the selection criteria.
