Computer Science
Our Computer Science Department is so good that State Farm identified it as a preferred provider for interns—one of only six providers in Illinois and only 18 nationally.
In addition to its excellent overall program, the CS Department specializes in systems security and information assurance and in 2007 held its second Cyber Defense and Disaster Recovery Conference.
Management Information Systems
Our Management Information Systems program, offered within the College of
Business and Management, has a 100% placement record.
The program is led by Professor Rassule Hadidi, our renowned Hanson Professional Services Faculty Scholar.
In keeping with UIS’ tradition of offering innovative programs to students at the time and place most convenient for them, students can complete the MIS program on campus, online, or with a mix of both.
