If we go into almost any government office in Springfield, we will find one of you there. And so many of you work in Springfield's non-profit agencies. Thank you for everything you do.

In fact, you serve throughout Springfield and Illinois and even around the world as--

  • business owners
  • teachers
  • social workers
  • historians
  • ecologists
  • human resource specialists
  • and in many more positions that provide important services to our society.

Hundreds of the nation's best public affairs reporters and broadcasters have graduated from our university, and our Mangagement Information Systems and Computer Science departments have almost 100% placement following graduation.

We are grateful to you for the excellent reputation you are building for UIS, and we are equally grateful for the many ways you support our students and programs. You have--

  • given gifts to programs and departments that you care about

  • Creating a Scholarship
  • Your own department's needs--You can find your department by going to Giving Opportunities. Once on that page, you can use the College or Unit link to find your department or programs on campus that you care about.
  • Online students--because our online programs so dramatically carry on UIS/SSU's commitment to providing access to students who might not be able to come to traditional programs
  • The UIS Fund. This annual giving fund provides general support throughout the university.
  • WUIS or Sangamon Auditorium--If you are one of our many alumni who live in and around Springfield and you appreciate the wealth of knowledge, culture, and entertainment that these two units bring to our community, please consider giving a gift to one of these.
