COLRS has four Blackboard Collaborate vClassrooms available.

Three vClassrooms

• Available 24/7;
• Allows 25 total users;
• Scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

One vClassroom

• Available 24/7;
• Allows 100 total users;
• Scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Request a Collaborate Session

UIS instructors or staff or instructor should fill out this form to schedule Collaborate sessions. At this time, students may not request Collaborate sessions.

Instructors or staff will receive an email confirmation when their session is scheduled. This email will contain three links.

• The moderator link is for instructors.
• The participant link is for student users.
• The recording link shows a table of recorded sessions. The links to recorded sessions may be linked in Blackboard for student access. If the recorded sessions will be used long term (an interview with an author, for instance), the instructor should contact COLRS for assistance in archiving the session.
