When STUDENTS attempt to add a link to a Camtasia Relay presentation to the Blackboard Discussion Board, the link does not work. The is NOT a problem for instructors. |
Issue has been reported to Blackboard. |
Direct your students to use the free Bit.ly URL shortening tool to abbreviate the link to the Camtasia Relay presentation. Students will be able to successfully post the shortened link to Blackboard’s discussion board. Bit.ly doesn’t require your students to create an account in order to shorten a URL. Students should go to http://bit.ly/, paste in the link to their Camtasia Relay presentation, and click on the Shorten button. On the next screen, students should click on the Copy link. Now they are ready to add the URL to Blackboard’s discussion board. Instructors may also fix the link to the presenations by editing each student’s posts in the discussion board, fixing the link, and re-submitting the post. |
