About the Award
The UIS Office of Technology-Enhanced Learning was among pioneers 
in the use of new media technologies to be honored at the 2008 SNCR Excellence in New Communications Awards ceremony hosted by the Society for New Communications Research on November 14, 2008, in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
The SNCR is a nonprofit global think tank dedicated to the advanced study of new communications tools, technologies, and emerging modes of communication and their effect on traditional media, professional communications, business, and society.
