Pre-K Children
Pre-K Room
Pre-K room serves children ages 3 to 5 years of age. Our preschool unit is comprised of a group of children and teachers working collaboratively. The children start their day with a morning meeting. 
Ideas are exchanged as the group engages in cooperative dialogue. Music and movement can be used as a way to help children integrate the learning experiences as well as express themselves.
Cathy Carlson and Kristin Schattschneider are the teachers in the Pre-K room.
Cathy has been working at Cox since August 2000. Cathy attended Lincoln Land Community College and has over 20 hours in Early Childhood Education.
Kristin began working at the Cox Children's Center in May 2008. She is currently working toward her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Teacher Education. she has many years of early childhood experience.
