Preston Jackson exhibit

I was so impressed with the turnout last Saturday for the citywide event launching the sculpture exhibit of Preston Jackson in Springfield. About 200 people came to UIS for the first stop of a "progressive reception" for the artist. UIS is counted as one of the four leading arts venues in Springfield, so it was appropriate that we would sponsor a major exhibit here. We were honored to have the renowned Jackson with us. His sculpture will be exhibited in our Arts Gallery for a couple of months, so I encourage you to come out any time to see it. The gallery is free and open to the publc.
