The Department of Human Services is pleased to announce that Mary K. McGuire has been selected as the winner of the HMS Outstanding Master’s Project Award!

Mary completed extensive research on the topic of LGBT older adults and raised important questions regarding their unequal treatment by health professionals and social service professionals. Read more about Mary K. McGuire (pdf)

Jeremy Larson received the 2011/2012 Outstanding Master’s Thesis Project of the Year Award for The Educational Leadership Department.

His project was:  “Teacher Collaboration in Rural School Districts through Online Social Networking,” in which it connected rural educators in an online professional learning community.

Teachers in nine school districts were able to share, collaborate, and connect to other similar content-area teachers.  Read more about Jeremy Larson (pdf).
