Dr. Kathy Massey

The Educational Leadership Department has the pleasure to introduce our new Visiting Assistant Professor, Dr. Kathy Massey.

Dr. Elissa Thomann Mitchell

Dr. Elissa Thomann Mitchell joined the EHS faculty this semester as an Assistant Professor of Human Services, Child and Family Studies concentration.  Her teaching interests include professional development issues as well as interventions and strategies for working with children and families.

Dr. Mitchell’s research interests focus on at risk children, youth, and families.  She is particularly interested in the roles that relationships and social support play in facilitating positive outcomes.  Dr. Mitchell has presented her work at national conferences.  Read more about Dr. Elissa Thomann Mitchell (pdf).


Ronda Mitchell

Dr. Ronda Mitchell

The Department of Teacher Education welcomes Dr. Ronda Mitchell.  Dr. Mitchell serves as the Director for the collaborating program, Midstate Student Support and is associated with the Student Education Association.  Dr. Mitchell is also an Associate Professor in the department and will be teaching various TEP courses including TEP 322 Teaching, Learning and Assessment, and other literary courses.  Read more about Dr. Ronda Mitchell (pdf).


Traci Van Prooyen

Dr. Traci Van Prooyen

Dr. Traci Van Prooyen has also joined the Department of Teacher Education.  Dr. Van Prooyen supervises student teachers and is the new sponsor for Kappa Delta Pi to help with professional development of teacher candidates.  Dr. Van Prooyen will be teaching TEP 222 Child Development for Teachers, TEP 227 Educational Psychology for Teachers and the new TEP 315 Managing the Diverse Classroom.
