A computer lab is available for student use in University Hall Building (UHB-2030). Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-midnight. Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. 217-206-7100. The Media Lab at Brookens Library is open on the weekends to accommodate students who need to use a computer lab. Each year the University is closed on New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (Thursday & Friday), and Christmas Day. University offices are open during Spring Break, but no classes are held. University offices are also open during Monday-Wednesday of Thanksgiving week (but no classes are held). Most (but not all) University offices close down during the week between Christmas and New Year’s. I-Card- Public Affairs Center-Lower Level (PAC-108):
All University of Illinois students are required to have an i-card, which is the official University identification card. It is used to access services and appropriate facilities. The student I.D. office is located in PAC 108. These are required for library and gym use. A state issued valid ID photo is required to obtain your i-card.

If you change your name at any time during your college career, you must contract the Registrar’s Office at UHB 1080, Phone 206-6709. You must provide them with a new social security card, marriage license, or other documentation of the change.
Parking and Parking Decals:

When UIS cancels classes because of bad weather, the cancellation notice is immediately posted on the UIS home page at www.uis.edu. They also announce University closure on WIUS (91.9 FM) radio starting at about 3:00 in the afternoon.
